Payment and Fees
Ellison Psychological Services accepts some insurance plans and welcomes private pay. Some families use their coverage; others choose to work outside the insurance system for speed, privacy, or flexibility. Either way, the evaluation is the same: comprehensive, timely, and finished with a detailed written report and practical recommendations.
Using Insurance

If your plan isn’t listed above, we are not in-network with it — but you’re still welcome here: we can provide a detailed superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement, or you can use the private pay option below.
Insurance is most often used for pre-surgical evaluations and for child and adolescent ADHD and autism evaluations — contact us and we’ll help you verify your coverage before you schedule.
One important note: most insurance plans do not cover learning disability testing or admissions and gifted testing — insurers consider these educational rather than medical services, at any practice. Those evaluations are almost always private pay.
Private Pay
Many clients choose private pay even when they have insurance, because it offers:
- Expediency — scheduling within weeks, with no referrals or pre-authorization delays.
- Privacy — results are not shared with insurance companies or entered into permanent medical records unless you choose to share them.
- Flexibility — the testing battery is chosen clinically, based on your questions, rather than limited to what an insurer will authorize.
Every private pay evaluation is an all-inclusive flat fee — the clinical interview, all testing, scoring, a comprehensive written report, and a feedback session are included. No hourly surprises, no add-on charges.

Payment
We accept major credit and debit cards, as well as HSA and FSA payments. Full payment is collected before the final report is released.
